Hoboken Couple Celebrates with Personal Touches

Julia and Ben Got married on June 2nd, 2017. They had a beautiful outside ceremony on our patio. Not only did they have lanterns going down the aisle, but at the end of it, a beautiful floral arch!!



They had a Rustic theme going on for their special day. So many personal touches. Their place cards hung on a window cork with keys attached to them for their guests to find their seats.



In the cocktail room they had a huge wooden carving with their names and date on it with some wine corks to bring it all together. They also had the first letters of their first names hanging on the doors to go outside!


Then for their centerpieces, Lanterns with flowers wrapped around them. And the best part yet….Wine Bottles for table numbers!



What a Wonderful way to bring in their marriage with the things and people they love most! Congratulations to Julia and Ben!

Bar Mitzvah for a Sports Fan

Cooper had his Bar Mitzvah with us recently and he had some very creative decorations! He is a huge sports fan so he incorporated that into almost every aspect of his celebration. 

His seating arrangements were actually gameday tickets! The guests each got their own and it told them where to find their seats, just like at the game!


He also had a bunch of flags around the room of some of his favorite teams, here are a couple…



For his guest signing book he made a football position chart!


Now for the menu! The adults got to enjoy a cocktail hour full of Wine, Cheese, Smoked Fish, and a Pasta station. But that is not all! They also got to have some chafing dishes filled with Chicken Enchiladas, Eggplant Rollatini and Grilled Thai Chicken with Lemongrass! 

Oh and we can’t forget the SUSHI DISPLAY!

As for the kids they got a special game day menu for their cocktail hour. It included Hamburger Sliders, Hot Dog Sliders, Chicken Fingers, and Pretzels! What a perfect combination to go with Cooper’s theme. 

What is for dinner you ask? Well, the adults get a beautiful sit down dinner with an appetizer of Braised Beef Short Rib on Polenta Cake and a freshly made Garden Salad. Then their dinner choices were between Strip Loin with Frittes, Herb Crusted Chicken with Sweet Potato, and Sesame Seared Salmon. 

As for the kids they got to have their very own buffet! On the buffet they had Chicken Parm, Penne Vodka, French Fries and a Tossed Salad. 

What’s for dessert?

Cooper had an awesome Gators cake made for him that looks just like a life size Team Logo!

Wedding of The Month: Filiz and Cody – Westchester, NY

Filiz and Cody got married at Patriot Hills on March 18th. They are from Westchester, NY.

They got to have their ceremony inside and it looked so beautiful.

The purple uplighting and lanterns down the aisle were a perfect touch for a romantic ceremony.

For the end of the night they had some tasty cordials with Rock Candy!

Such a great idea for something sweet.

Winter Wonderland Wedding at The Clubhouse at Patriot Hills

It truly was a winter wonderland wedding here at The Clubhouse at Patriot Hills on Saturday January 7, 2017.

There was no sign of snow in the forecast when Vanessa and John dropped by earlier in the week to bring all their wedding décor. Vanessa had said to us that she hoped for a little bit of snow and her wish came true! The snowfall that day/night made the wedding even more magical than we had imagined it would be!

After the ceremony, we kicked the party off with an awesome cocktail hour, which included lots of food, drinks and music of course!

Signature Drinks:

Sex on a Snow Bank (instead of  sex on the beach):

3 tbsp. of coconut cream, 1/2 oz. of coconut rum, 6 large ice cubes all blended together and rim the glass with some yummy coconut flakes!!!

The Cold Fashioned (instead of an Old Fashioned):

1/2 oz. dark rum, 1 tsp. simple syrup, 2 dashes of bitters, muddled orange peel and an orange peel for garnish!!!

Vanessa and John had chosen all champagne linen to go along with their winter themed wedding, which helped bring out the beautiful centerpieces from one of our recommended florists – Basset Flowers and the snowflake lighting from MSV Entertainment! We turned our complimentary blue up-lighting on and lit some votive candles to help set the ambiance.

About a month before the wedding, we met with Vanessa & John to help choose their wedding menu for their 4 course Sit Down Dinner included in our Diamond Package. Their guests were served a Portobello Mushroom Bisque with Truffle Oil and Chervil for the First Course, which was perfect for this snowy Saturday!

Second Course was a Peppery Arugala Salad with grapefruit, aged asiago and shaved fennel topped off with a citrus vinaigrette.

Guests had an entrée choice of 3 to choose from the night of the wedding.

Last, but certainly not least, delicious Cupcakes & Pies from our favorite bakery – Homestyle Desserts!
